The Hanover School Division has released a statement regarding the EA strike that began Wednesday morning.

The statement, which was signed by both Superintendent Shelley Amos and Board Chair Brad Unger, reassures parents that they will do what they can to support students during this work stoppage.

“While we anticipate that the strike action will disrupt services, the Division’s top priority remains the well-being and education of our students. We have taken proactive measures to ensure their needs are met during this period to the best of our ability. Communication is of utmost importance, and we will endeavour to provide up-to-date information throughout the process.”

The Hanover School Division Board of Trustees says they remain willing to engage in further negotiations to reach a mutually acceptable resolution.

They thank parents and staff members for their patience and understanding during this disruption.
