The annexation public hearing dates have been set regarding Niverville annexing land from the RM of Hanover.
The hearing dates are Wednesday January 31st, Thursday February 1st, and Friday February 2nd of 2024, and is taking place in the Niverville Community Resource and Recreation Centre.
If approved, this would allow the town to double in size.
Niverville Mayor Myron Dyck says the Municipal Board will be sitting in the whole time.
“We're still waiting for the schedule of who's speaking when, but they're setting aside the three days, so whether it's departments of the province, whether it's property owners, as well as the town, we'll all be speaking.”
Dyck says to check your emails as the Municipal Board will be notifying all stakeholders sometime before the public hearing to clarify who to contact, the times of the hearing, and more details.
