A burning ban has been issued in the RM of Hanover.
Reeve Stan Toews says it will stay in place until there is sufficient rain to moisten the ground. The ban prohibits open fires, though burning permits may be obtained at the RM office. Toews says the ban was issued partially because of what's been happening near Grunthal. The local fire department has responded to 15 fire calls in the last week.
