Local fire chiefs are pleading with us to avoid burning anything right now.  
La Broquerie Fire Chief Alain Nadeau says their volunteer fire fighters had a few days of 2 or 3 fire calls per day and they're getting tired.  Steinbach Fire Chief Mark Loewen is asking us to bring garbage and debris to the landfill site rather than burning it.  A few garbage fires have recently gotten out of control due to the dry conditions and the strong wind.
