Adam Sergerie scored five times as the Selkirk Steelers bounced the Winkler Flyers 10-3 in the lone Manitoba Junior Hockey League game.
Grunthal's Tyler Kornelson picked up his fifth goal of the season for the Flyers.

The Carillon Senior Hockey League leading Mitchell Mohawks meet the Hawks in St.Adolphe tonight. The Mohawks are 9-2-1 and lead the second place La Broquerie Habs by one point. The Hawks are 4 and 8 and trail the fourth place St.Malo Warriors by two points.

Canada will meet the United States today at 9 a.m. in the semi-final of the World Junior Hockey Championship at Leksand, Sweden. The Americans beat Finland 6-3 in Tuesday's quarter-final while the Canadians have been idle since Sunday's 3-0 victory over Slovakia in their final preliminary round game. The host Swede's downed the Czech Republic 5-1 and will meet Russia in today's other semi.

Canada's National Women's Under-22 Hockey Team which includes Jocelyne Larocque of Ste.Anne, Melanie Gagnon of St.Adolphe and Laura Fridfinnson of Arborg are in Germany for the 2007 European Air Canada Cup. Six countries are taking part in the tournament including Canada, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Russia and Japan. Canada, which has won the tournament since it's inception four years ago, will open against Japan today.
