The last full of June, which means summer is officially here!  Today was officially the last day of school on the Hanover School Division calendar so...summer vacatio begins!  That alone is good stuff, but...we've got so much more to look at!

If you see good stuff happening, please let us know!

Oh...yes...they WILL be watching you!

Kleefeld School does it again with a memorable video!  Taking a classic song the parents of Kleefeld School will know and changing up the words to today's current watchful state?  Ya...this is good stuff!

GRADAPALOOZA!!!

This was the week of graduation, so many students celebrating the culmination of their school careers. Gowns, caps, suits, dresses, parades! So many things! Congratulations to the graduating classes of Niverville, Grunthal, Landmark, Ste Anne, Ste Pierre and LaBroquerie! All the parades and all the creative celebrations in a very different year is most CERTAINLY good stuff!

He's already number 1 in our hearts!

Kris Ontong has already been honoured with a nomination for RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards. We would already say he’s a winner due to all his volunteer efforts in southeast Manitoba, but being recognized for his work across the country is definitely good stuff!

Back to school is on the calendars!

The province announced earlier this that September 8th is currently on the calendar as a start date for school. With confirmations on things not taking place until the beginning of August, we’ve still got a date to look forward to and that is good stuff!

Happy New Year to Mitchell Elementary!

Yes...it might be a little early to be celebrating 2021, but staff and families and the WHOLE community of Mitchell is looking forward to being able to use the new addition currently being built. Excitement about new spaces, classrooms and interior for an always expanding student population in Mitchell is good stuff.

A trashy kind of friendship.

April Fool’s Day 2020...Cecile and Abe were bored and wanted to go for coffee at the café, but....COVID kinda put a wrench in their plans. So...they grabbed some coffee, went for a drive and decided that the ditches in the southeast needed to be cleaned up! 2 hours 5 days a week these two friends grab trash bags and get busy cleaning! This desire to clean up the southeast is very much some good stuff!

 Safely shopping for secondhand stuff.

Garage sales are back ON! With the announcement of garage sales being allowed a few weeks ago a LOT of people are selling their stuff in their garages and on their driveways and their doing it safely! Sanitizer and signs, stuff for sale being spread out a bit more...all creative ways to still work that garage sale circuit safely. This is good stuff!

 Cowabunga! The calves came back!

Steinbach Online had reported 5 calves missing from a ranch in Caliento. Within hours they were returned! A rancher down the road from the prodigal calves home had discovered them took care of them until they’re rightful owner could be found! The cows coming home and being able to use COWabunga in a title is definitely good stuff!

The promise of more face time!

Earlier this week, the government of MB announced they will be developing all season visiting shelters near care homes. Making it easier and safer for family and friends to visit those most vulnerable living in seniors homes and care homes is good good stuff!

I'm a sucker for school.

The staff at the SRSS created a GREAT video as part of the grad 2020 celebration. Such good stuff in this video!  Enjoy their version of the Jonas Brothers, Sucker!

Good stuff gallery

So many good photos shared with us this week!  Thank for sharing them with us!  If you see good stuff happening, please let us know!

  • Cayson Bram had a visit from Officer Kyle from the Ste Anne police. He stopped by to make Cayson's birthday a little more special. He sure was surprised! When he was asked why he wanted to be a police officer Cayson said “because I want to help people.”  Thanks to Officer Kyle for stopping by...what a great photo and check out Cayson's uniform! This is good stuff
  • Even the fences in Landmark are decorated grad!
  • Barbie Waldner took this photo early Tuesday morning southeast of Steinbach off the 303. What a beautiful photo!  Definitely good stuff!
  • Soup’s On shared some photos - “Tonight we were honored to have Peyton join us in the soup kitchen. Peyton is a student from Mitchell who was given an assignment to find something she's passionate about and make it happen. Peyton choose Soup's On and started Peyton's Passion Project. In a span of roughly 3 weeks Peyton raised over $650 for Soup's On as well as the funds to put together a number of substantial care packages which she was able to hand out tonight. We are very impressed with Peyton's kindness and giving spirit. Thank you Peyton for your hard work and generosity!” Well done Peyton! This is VERY much good stuff!
  • Turtles of Stuartburn series.  Sandra Drewniak was out for a walk and captured these turtles in Stuartburn.  Check out the camo on these guys!  Definitely good stuff!
