Only one Winnipeg batsman failed to safely reach base in the 11th inning; however, that Goldeyes batter,C Luis Alen, batted in the winning run on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly as the Goldeyes beat the Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants 1-0. Alen went 1-for-4 on the night. Neither starting pitcher factored in the decision, with Winnipeg's Zach Baldwin and Sioux Falls' Barry Fowler leaving after the fifth and seven innings, respectively. Baldwin allowed five hits and struck out two before handing the ball over to the bullpen. Fowler gave up four hits with two K's. It was the second straight win for Winnipeg as they continue their four game series against Sioux Falls tonight at Shaw Park in Winnipeg. The Goldeyes still lead St. Paul by a game for first place in the American Baseball Associations North Division.
