Luis Alen doubled, homered and drove in three runs as the Winnipeg Goldeyes downed the Sioux Falls Pheasants 8-5. The Goldeyes improved to 59-40 and set a franchise record for most wins in season. Winnipeg has a chance to hit the 60-win plateau tonight when the Fish and Pheasants meet in Sioux Falls in the regular season finale for both teams. The Goldeyes clinched the American Baseball Association's North Division pennant last Friday and will host either the St. Paul Saints or Gary SouthShore RailCats in the best-of-five Division Series which begins Thursday at Shaw Park.
