Although the rainy weather has caused the City of Steinbach to postpone the evening fireworks and festivities at the soccer park in Steinbach, there is still a full day of Canada Day activities planned at the Mennonite Heritage Village.

“We are confident that our guests will enjoy the many options for participating in our FREE admission day,” says Robert Goertzen, Interim Executive Director and Program Manager.

The museum is open from 9am-5pm.

“We have moved a few of the activities indoors,” he notes. “There is a flag raising ceremony at 11am followed by free cake and coffee. The restaurant and the waffle booth are open from 11-4pm.  Our kids' activities include face painting, barrel train rides, a family magic show, and activity centre.”
