A teenage girl is dead following an ATV accident on Thursday.

It happened shortly after 5 pm at the gravel pit on the south side of Grunthal.  St. Pierre R.C.M.P. say the ATV was climbing a steep slope when it rolled over and pinned the girl against a rock.  The 16 year-old girl from the Grunthal area died later in hospital.  The Hanover School Division has crisis councillors at Green Valley School to help students deal with the death of the grade 11 student.
