One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon west of Seven Sisters Falls.

At approximately 4:40 pm, Whitemouth RCMP received a report that a two-vehicle collision occurred along Highway 11 near Provincial Road 307. 

Officers attended the scene and located a pickup truck and a car in the northbound lane of Highway 11.

Initial investigation has determined that the pickup truck was travelling south along Highway 11 when it entered the northbound lane and collided with a northbound car.

The 30-year-old female driver of the car, from the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet, was pronounced dead on scene.

The 45-year-old male driver of the pickup truck, from Tyndall, received life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital, where he remains.

Police say both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist and the RCMP Criminal Collision Investigative Team are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
