Custodians in the Seine River School Division will hit the picket lines at 8am Monday morning.

The 47 employees are represented by the Manitoba Government and General Employees’ Union, which says bargaining talks last week did not result in a new offer from the division.

Members voted on December 9th to reject the offer from SRSD, and then voted in favour of strike action.

The custodians have been working with an expired contract since July 2021.

For the duration of the strike, the school division has contracted Express Employment Professionals to provide temporary services.
