The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Business Excellence Awards Tuesday night at the Friedensfeld Hall.

Chamber President Christine Beaumont says this is the first time they have held this event in person since 2019.
“We haven't had the opportunity to be all in the same room for quite a long time. A lot of things have been happening behind the scenes even though we haven't necessarily been always visible, there is a lot of activity that has been happening in the last few years. It was great to be able to share what not only I am involved in but also what the committees and the rest of the team have been working towards.”
Beaumont says you could tell the business community was excited to celebrate together.
“I got here at about the same time as most people were arriving and you could just feel the energy in the room and the buzz and people smiling and reconnecting, people that haven't seen each other in quite a long time so yeah it is great.”
