The Jake Epp Library in Steinbach continues to see strong participation in its adult book club, even after many years of running it.

Steph McLean says there is always great discussion.

“I think that’s the wonderful thing about a book club at a public library, is everybody comes from completely different walks of life and has completely different takes on the book.”

Mclean notes the adult book club is an easy-going group, and very casual, which makes it easier for people to feel comfortable coming for the first time.

“Our book club is very casual. You can come in sweatpants; we’ve got coffee and tea ready for you there. And it’s just lots of fun, great discussions, a great group of people.”

The library also operates book clubs for younger readers.
