Buck Pierce will be Winnipeg's starting quarterback. Pierce suffered a bruised quadriceps injury to his left leg in the second quarter of the Blue Bombers 21-20 loss to the Calgary Stampeders last Thursday. He did not play the second half and there was concern that the injury would not heal in time for Saturday's game in Toronto. Winnipeg head coach Paul LaPolice decided to go with Pierce after watching his quarterback go through the offensive drills at practice on Thursday.
