How interesting to have John Henry Friesen join us on the AM1250 Morning Show today! If you missed it, he's the guy who made the "Big Red Car" in the first place. He started making it in 1985 and it was officially completed in 1991 and it has sat in the same spot all this time. John says that the car is one of the highlights of his "creating" career - but creating the Penner Foods boy and the cow in LaBroquerie are also examples of his work. I was mostly amazed by his work with Sesame Street!! I mean, unbeknownst to me, I grew up watching some of his creations in action!! Incredible. Of course, now it will change location but if you ask me, that's OK, let's just hope it's still visible -- after all, Steinbach is "The Automobile City".
