The Town of Ste. Anne is asking for the public’s assistance in watching out for vandalism.

An online post from the town indicates: “We have had an increase in vandalism and disregard for our town properties. From signs being uprooted and thrown in the river, to items at the splash pad being broken. This type of activity is costly and time-consuming.”

The splash pad damage alone is expected to cost the town around $7,000 in customized parts, money that the town does not have right now. Despite those damages, the park will remain open. The broken feature will simply not perform its intended function.

Local residents who observe suspicious or mischievous behavior are asked to contact the Ste. Anne Police at 204.422.8209.
