Chief Administrative Officer Troy Warkentin says the city has been in discussion with the Steinbach Credit Union for some time, negotiating over these five lots on Reimer Avenue between Elmdale Street and Hanover Street.

“There is a completed offer to purchase and a subsequent Parking Option Agreement that is part of this that has been negotiated though it is subject to council's ratification by resolution. It does propose the purchase of those particular parcels of land for a total amount of $1.4M with possession being 14 days from the date of council approval”

centre will also help traffic move smoothly.

“We have multiple points of access to the event centre. If you are going to an event there, you are not going to be lining up on one entryway and one exit way, waiting for other cars, you are going to be using one of the many different access points along the way.”
