A series of seven videos made by enVision is wrapping up today.

Executive Director Jeannette Delong says the decision was made to make the videos after their spring gala was canceled due to COVID-19.

“We identify members of our community, including people who live with a disability, who are making a difference,” explains Delong, “and then we tell their story on video.”

Delong says the virtual experience was a way to kick off their annual fall fundraiser while still honouring those selected as representing equality and inclusion in the community.

“We put a call out for nominations from community members and we had small committee look at them,” says Delong about the process of selecting honourees.

The videos, hosted by comedian Matt Falk, were released one day at a time starting on September 25th.

“We’re fundraising for an accessible house this year and hoping that it’s a way the community can demonstrate their support for the work that we do.”
