The La Broquerie Fire Department responded to a single vehicle rollover Thursday morning. Deputy Chief J.C. Normandeau says it happened along Provincial Road 302, just northeast of La Broquerie.

Crews were called out around 7:40 am. Normandeau says a car slid into the ditch, rolled once and landed on its wheels.

Normandeau says the middle-aged female driver and lone occupant was taken to hospital.

"Minor injuries," he says. "She was transported for precautionary measures."

Normandeau says though tough to know the extent of the damage to the car, he notes it definitely received some bumps and bruises.

Meanwhile, Normandeau confirms the fresh snow overnight caused some slick driving conditions this morning.

"Heads up people," he says. "Doesn't look like much but there is always the ice underneath the snow."
