City Buys Krueger Property

The City of Steinbach now owns the entire 2 blocks east of the T.G. Smith Arena. Mayor Chris Goertzen says council has agreed to pay 275 thousand dollars for the property belonging to the late Doctor Karl Krueger. He adds the house has been sold and will be moved off the site. Mayor Goertzen tells us there are no immediate plans for that 2 blocks of land. He suggests it could eventually be used for a park or as a commercial, residential or recreational site.
