STARS at the scene.Steinbach RCMP Investigator Murray Dyck explains it appears to have occurred shortly after seven o'clock.

"As we understand it, the collision between this white truck and car ... it's hard to tell from this but it looks more or less like a head on collision.  Two occupants in the white truck, one occupant in the car.  All three have been taken to the hospital with undetermined injuries.  Can't say at this point how bad it is unfortunately."

He adds the car was travelling south bound and the truck north bound on Highway 12 when the collision occurred.

The 19-year old male driver of the car from the Steinbach area was taken to Winnipeg hospital by STARS Air Ambulance with serious injuries.  The 55-year old male driver and 55-year old female passenger of the truck are both from Ste. Anne and were taken to Bethesda Regional Health Centre by ground ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.  An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionists is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
