The principal from Ste. Anne Collegiate says this year’s graduating class will be missed in the school hallways.

Yvan St. Vincent notes this was a fun group that made their presence known in the school which he adds is one thing he will miss about this class.

"I think they’re a group that’s equally divided. There’s half of them that are extremely involved in everything that happens in the school, whether it’s our GSA or our student voice or all the things that we have going on. The other half is probably way more on the athletic side, they’re all heavily involved in volleyball, basketball, badminton, baseball and all the other things so a pretty clear divide between the two but both ended up actually complimenting each other real well in the end."

Valedictorians Faith Brown and Henry Borsch say it is an honour but also a privilege to represent their school. They took the time to reflect on their time in high school with their class of 75 that graduated this morning in Iles Des Chenes. Borsch says they are a goofy bunch but in the end, they all got along.

"I’d say we’re quite an interesting group. An interesting memory we had once is last year we had a goat race. With our high school, we raced a whole bunch of goats which is quite unique to Ste. Anne so that’s my favourite memory."

Meanwhile Brown notes things that come to mind for her are the talent shows, sports team memories and school musicals which she says are all things they did as a group and that she will take with her on her journey outside the walls of Ste. Anne Collegiate.
