A local soccer coach is interested to see what sort of impact this year's World Cup will have on local registration numbers next season. Steve Rebizant coaches the SRSS boys team. He says soccer is already a growing sport in the southeast and the World Cup is only helping that. Rebizant is surprised by the number of people who have approached him in the last month to talk soccer; people who normally don't have an interest. He says it's been a very exciting World Cup with a few surprises. Rebizant says from what he's hearing most fans in Steinbach have been cheering for Germany followed by England, Italy and Brazil. As for a winner, Rebizant is picking France to beat Italy in Sunday's final.
