This will be a huge improvement for the environment.  The University of Manitoba is spending one million dollars to put in some new technology at its Glenlea Research Station.  The plan is to put in a new sewage treatment system.  Spokesperson Brian Rivers says this new plant will greatly improve the quality of water that gets pumped into the Red River.  The system is also being built to handle all the sewage from the new swine barns that were added to the site this spring.
