There was a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of McKenzie Avenue and Main Street shortly after 10 Friday morning.

Steinbach RCMP Constable Plaskett says a blue Ford Focus was traveling east on Main Street when it collided with a white Kia Soul that was traveling south on Hespeler.

"Both occupants are going to be transported to hospital just as a precaution. No life-threatening injuries or anything like that. It appears that the blue car went through a red light and struck the white vehicle here."

Southeastbound traffic on Main street was temporarily blocked off while emergency crews cleaned up the collision. Constable Plaskett says the collision is still under investigation.
