The Steinbach RCMP attended a three vehicle collision on Highway 12 just north of Stonebridge Crossing shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Constable Ken Friesen explains what happened.

"In speaking with the driver of the first vehicle, the vehicle in front of her stopped suddenly and she applied her brakes hard, the second vehicle stopped as well but the third vehicle was not able to stop and hit the second vehicle pushing it into the first vehicle. The second vehicle got the bulk of the damage."

Constable Friesen says the first vehicle had a female driver with two children while the two rear vehicles each had a driver and lone occupant. He notes the driver of the second vehicle had an injured hand and was treated by EMS at the scene of the collision.
