Two businesses in Steinbach were broken into early Thursday morning.

Brian Guenther, CPGA at Steinbach Fly-In, says security cameras show people entered the building at 3:30 in the morning.

“On the Santa Lucia side, they stole several bottles of alcohol, and made their way into the pro shop here where they got away with a little bit of float money and did some damage to windows getting into both those places,” he says.

With increased security for the future, he hopes they can prevent this from happening again.

Meanwhile, Guenther notes repairs have taken place and it is business as usual for both the golf course as well as the restaurant.

“We've had crews in here today fixing glass and doors,” he reports. “So, everything is operational, we are good to go. Just an inconvenience as far as that goes, and expense for sure, to repair the doors and glass.”

If you have any other information related to this break-in, you are asked to contact the Steinbach RCMP Detachment at 204-326-4452 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.manitobacrimestoppers.com
