Because council in the RM of Piney remained identical before and after the October 24 election, re-elected Reeve Wayne Anderson suggests that people must be largely in favor of council’s vision of growth and development.

“The people are happy with what we’re doing and we’re going to do more of it,” comments Anderson. “Sometimes you’re sitting there in council all by yourself wondering if you are doing the right thing and its good to know that we are on track. I thank the voters for showing us that.”

As of Tuesday, Anderson indicates his council will be meeting for the first time this term to discuss what it looks like to carry on their positive momentum from the last four years. Moving forward, a top priority for Anderson is promoting the area and encouraging newcomers all the while keeping taxes incredibly low.

“I want to continue the things I started without too many hiccups,” says Anderson who is grateful to once again be Reeve in what he calls a “beautiful and solid community”.
