It was started up again last year by the Elmdale Parent Council.
Now, there are about 20 Block Parent homes involved in the program. However, they are mostly located in the Elmdale School area. Chair Linda Wiebe says they really want to make sure children feel safe all over the city so they are looking for more people to join them. The goal is to have a Block Parent sign on every street in Steinbach.
