The Country Classics Car Club is making the car show at Summer in the City more inclusive.
Vice President Gary Reimer expects the changes will result in a larger display of vehicles.
“We’re including all cars this year,” he explains.
There were hot rods and muscle cars in the show last year. This year, they are including import cars.
“So, we're going to expand a little bit and try and get the younger guys that come to the car show.”
The Summer in the City car show will happen on Saturday, June 15th from 12 to 6pm on Steinbach’s Main Street.
Reimer also invites people to stop by the club’s weekly gathering of cars.
It happens on Wednesday evenings in the McMunn and Yates parking lot with around 30 classic cars.
He says the club is also planning a few cruise nights, a fall fundraiser for medical transportation, and several members bring their vehicles to various car shows in the region and to a few shows south of the border.
Reimer encourages anyone interested in cars or in joining the club to visit the group during one of their Wednesday evening gatherings. They usually start to arrive at 6:30pm and stick around until 9pm, weather permitting.

He says club members are a friendly bunch of men and women who share a passion for cars.
“We’re not street racers. We love the hobby, we love old cars, we love cars. But we’re not street racers.”
