The Ste. Anne Aces and Morden Bombers are going the distance. Tanner Harms scored 16:47 into overtime to lift the Aces past Morden 4-3 Wednesday night in Ste. Anne. The South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League's best-of-seven final is tied at three games apiece. Caleb Paisley, Joey Moggach and Keith Grondin also scored for the Aces. Ste. Anne has rallied to even the series after losing games one, two and three. Mike Rey had a pair of goals for the visitors who lead 3-1 with nine minutes left in the third period. Cole Penner had the other Bombers goal. The deciding seventh game goes Saturday in Morden.

The Winnipeg Ice gave up three second period goals and lost 6-4 to Moose Jaw. Jagger Firkus and Ryder Korczak each had a goal and two assists for the Warriors. Zack Ostapchuk potted his 30th and 31st goals of the season for the Ice.

The Winnipeg Jets begin a three-game California road trip tonight when they meet the Anaheim Ducks. The Jets, who have 10 games left, are in the second wildcard spot in the NHL's Western Conference. Winnipeg is four points ahead of the Calgary Flames.

The Manitoba Moose lost 4-3 to Rockford at Canada Life Centre. Rocco Grimaldi scored the shootout-winning tally for the IceHogs. Jansen Harkins had two goals and an assist for the Moose. 

Canada’s Kerri Einarson has a 6-3 round robin record at the 2023 World Women’s Curling Championship in Sandviken, Sweden. Einarson, Val Sweeting, Shannon Birchard and Briane Harris lost 8-3 in eight ends to Germany’s Daniela Jentsch and beat South Korea’s Seungyoun Ha 8-6. Einarson has just one game today and that's against Japan’s Satsuki Fujisawa at 8 a.m. The Gimli Curling Club foursome are in a three-way tie for second place with Stefania Constantini of Italy and Anna Hasselborg of Sweden.

Manitoba champions Kadriana Lott & Colton Lott of Winnipeg Beach have a 2-1 record at the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Sudbury, Ontario. Lott & Lott defeated Margot Flemming & Jamie Koe 6-5 and lost 6-5 to Jennifer Jones & Brent Laing. 

It's day one of the Provincial Senior Men's and Provincial Senior Women's Curling Championships in Dauphin. Randy Neufeld of La Salle and Terry Ursel of Neepawa are the defending champions.
