Update Thurs, July 11, 4:30pm - Three people were involved in the two-vehicle collision this morning in Ste. Anne.

Fire Chief Bob Saindon reports that the Ste. Anne Police vehicle had two occupants. The officer sustained minor injuries while the cadet appeared to be uninjured.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle was transported to hospital in stable condition.

Saindon notes the RCMP traffic analyst was on scene conducting an investigation.

Central Street was reopened after being closed for four hours.

 

Originally published on Thurs, July 11, 11:35am - There was a two vehicle crash this morning in Ste. Anne at the intersection of Central Avenue and Traverse Road. 

Fire Chief Bob Saindon says a town police vehicle was traveling eastbound on Central when it was T-boned by a northbound SUV. 

There is a Stop sign on Traverse for both northbound and southbound traffic at the intersection with the main street that goes through town.

It appears that injuries are minor, Saindon adds.  

The investigation is ongoing.
