College Jeanne-Sauve won the Steinbach Regional junior varsity girls volleyball tournament. The Olympiens swept the host Sabres 25-16, 25-14 in the final. The Niverville Panthers defeated the Sanford Sabres 25-10, 25-19 in the final of the Calvin Christian Eagles varsity girls tournament. The Landmark 96'ers beat the host Nighthawks 25-23, 25-18 in the final of the Northlands Parkway Invitational varsity boys tournament in Winkler. The Lorette Scorpions swept the St. Joachim Braves 25-22, 25-22 in the final of the Pointe des Chenes Cavaliers Invitational varsity boys tournament. Gabrielle Roy Les Roys defeated Teulon 25-22, 25-21 in the final of the Immanuel Christian Falcons Invitational junior varsity girls tournament. The Green Valley Pirates beat the host Braves 16-25, 25-16, 15-11 in the final of the St. Joachim Invitational varsity girls tournament. 


Warren Clark, Brett Kaiser and Travis Hensrud did the goal scoring and Dominik Wasik made 22 saves as the Steinbach Pistons blanked the Selkirk Steelers 3-0 at the T.G. Smith Centre. Brendan Kerr had two goals and an assist in Niverville's 7-5 victory over the OCN Blizzard. Eric Martin, Brett Tataryn, Kennan Reyelts, Carson Reed and Desmond Johnson also scored for the hometown Nighthawks.


Braeden Rebeck had three goals and an assist as the Springfield Xtreme defeated the Macdonald Swarm 6-2 in the lone Hanover Tache Junior Hockey League game in Oakbank. Brady Chambers, Evan Veinot and Cayden St. Laurent also scored for the Xtreme. Josh Vassart and Logan Erb replied for the Swarm. 


The Eastman Selects scored four unanswered second period goals en route to a 5-1 victory over the Norman Northstars in Thompson. Colton Pakoo, Liam Leduchowski, Luc De Gagne, Braden Berube and Mario Gagnon did the goal scoring for the Selects. Eastman netminder Francois Gagnon made 20 saves.


The Manitoba Moose completed a perfect weekend road trip on Sunday. Mikey Eyssimont had a goal and two assists as Manitoba downed the Rockford IceHogs 6-3. Manitoba scored at least five goals in every game this past weekend. The Moose beat the Chicago Wolves 5-2 on Friday and the Milwaukee Admirals 5-2 on Saturday. 


Rachel Homan and Niklas Edin won the Grand Slam of Curling's Tour Challenge in Grande Prairie. Homan defeated three-time reigning Canadian champion Kerri Einarson 8-4 in the women's final while Edin downed Matt Dunstone 7-3 in the men's final. Third Oskar Eriksson threw the final two rocks in the championship game as Edin reaggravated a knee injury prior to Saturday’s semifinals.
