The Southeast has been transformed into a winter wonderland over night. 

Thursday's rain turned to snow shortly after midnight.

According to Manitoba 511, As of 5 AM, Highway 59 and all highways east of it are currently snow-covered with heavy snow being reported in areas as well as slush. 

Highway 59, Highway 52, Highway 12, and Highway 1 west of Ste. Anne also have reduced visibility. The snowy conditions stretch south to the American border, east to the Ontario border, and north to the Beausejour area.

Meanwhile, a snowfall warning remains in effect for southeastern Manitoba. Environment Canada says snowfall accumulations are expected to total between 10 and 20 cm.

A few more cm of snow is expected to accumulate over southeastern Manitoba this morning with the highest amounts near the American and Ontario border. Snow is expected to taper later this morning. For more weather information visit the weather page.
