The Eastman Selects gave up three goals in the opening twenty minutes and three more in the third period and lost 8-4 to the Interlake Lightning on Sunday afternoon in Stonewall. Troy Blad, Dane Mistelbacher, Alex Tetrault and Thomas Lenchyshyn did the goal scoring for the Selects who scored three times with the manadvantage but also surrendered three power play goals. Eastman goaltenders Ryan Miner and Tanner Friesen combined to stop 41 of 49 shots. The Selects, who were outshot 16-4 in the first period, will face the Central Plains Capitals on Friday in Beausejour.
