The Eastman Selects were outshot 41-14, gave up four power play goals and the end result was a 7-0 loss to the defending Telus Cup champion Winnipeg Thrashers at Gateway Arena on Wednesday night. The Thrashers put the game away with three goals in the second period and added three more in the third. Eastman goaltender Tanner Friesen stopped 34 shots. The Selects will load up the bus and travel to southwestern Manitoba this weekend. Eastman will face the Brandon Wheat Kings on Saturday and then play the Southwest Cougars in Souris on Sunday.
