Brand new northbound lanes along Highway 75 from Morris to PR 205 will be open to motorists in a few days.

That's according to an official with Manitoba Infrastructure who says the 13 kilometres of reconstructed highway is nearing completion.

The project encountered some delays from the wet weather in September and heavy snow in October, but overall, things went well.

The project entailed breaking up the old concrete, putting down a new base and new concrete along with new paved shoulders.

All that remains is some trimming and seeding.

MI expects the lanes will be re-opened in the coming days once all the traffic signs have been installed.
