Thousands of dollars worth of wire was stolen from a La Broquerie property this past weekend.

Steinbach RCMP say the break-in, enter, and theft took place sometime between Friday and Sunday.

According to police, an unknown suspect or suspects cut through a locked fence to gain access to four large spools of aluminum and copper wire. All four spools were stolen, but two were later located in a farmer’s field nearby and returned to the owner. The two missing spools are described as 2/O aluminum wire and are valued at $4,500.
