RCMP say there was a stabbing earlier this month in front of Mitchell Middle School.

Steinbach RCMP were notified on June 8th at 10:55 pm.

Police say it appears an 18-year-old male from Mitchell lunged at a 23-year-old male from Mitchell, with a knife. Injuries are unknown, though police say they were non-life threatening. 

According to police, there were multiple witnesses. Police have seized the weapon.

Charges are pending against the 18-year-old.

RCMP continue to investigate.
