The Rural Municipality of Hanover is turning 125 years old this year.  In 1874, Mennonite immigrants landed on the East Reserve.  7 years later, Hanover officially became a municipality.  Reeve John Driedger says they're not doing much to celebrate the milestone.  Last week, they hosted the East Region District meeting for Association of Manitoba Municipalities.  Driedger says a historical brochure has also been printed.  The public is invited to an open house Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m.  Cake and coffee will be served at the municipal office building.
