The 2023 Provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts begins Wednesday at the East St. Paul Arena.

12 teams are divided into two Groups and will play a five-game round robin.

Chelsea Carey, Beth Peterson, Katy Lukowich, Darcy Robertson, Emma Jensen and number one seed Kaitlyn Lawes are in the Black Group.

Jennifer Jones, Abby Ackland, Kristy Watling, Lisa McLeod, Alyssa Calvert and Grace Beaudry are in the Red Group.

The top three teams in each group will keep their round robin records and continue on in the Championship Pool.

Sunday afternoons winner will join three-time defending champion Kerri Einarson of Gimli at the National Scotties Tournament of Hearts next month in Kamloops.

Mackenzie Zacharias, Karlee Burgess, Emily Zacharias and Lauren Lenentine won the 2022 Provincial Scotties in Carberry and joined Jennifer Jones this season forming a five-person team.
