The PC Party of Manitoba now has 30 candidates ready to hit the campaign trail.
The La Verendrye Progressive Conservative Association is the latest to name its candidate. Ritchot Mayor Bob Stefaniuk was acclaimed Wednesday night. Stefaniuk says he is not satisfied with the work of the current government and says priorities for him include health care, infrastructure and fiscal responsibility. A recent amendment to the elections act means Stefaniuk will have to resign as mayor 2 weeks after a provincial election date has been set. Party leader Hugh Mcfadyen says Stefaniuk is thoughtful and intelligent and will be a great fighter for the constituents of La Verendrye.
