Steinbach RCMP have arrested a man, who was on Canada's Top 25 Most Wanted list.

Last week Thursday, as a result of an ongoing investigation, officers with Steinbach RCMP and the Steinbach RCMP General Investigative Section (GIS), in a joint effort with British Columbia RCMP, located and arrested 27-year-old Quinten Anthony Meyer. He was listed as #24 on Canada's Top 25 Most Wanted list.

Meyer had multiple warrants out for his arrest in Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia with over 20 outstanding charges including resisting arrest, flight from police, driving while prohibited and theft over $5,000.

It is believed the suspect was in Winnipeg hiding out before he made his way to Steinbach where he was located and arrested without incident. He was remanded into custody.

On August 5th of this year, charges were laid, and an arrest warrant was issued for Meyer in relation to a break-and-enter and sexual assault which occurred in the area of Nanoose Bay, British Columbia. On July 30th, Oceanside RCMP responded to a report that a man had broken into a residence and sexually assaulted a resident. The suspect was arrested later the same day and subsequently released to appear in court at a later day. The ongoing investigation determined that the man arrested on July 30th provided a false name to police offices and was later positively identified as Quinten Anthony Meyer.

Meyer's last known address to RCMP is Calgary.
