If warmer weather has you wanting to hit the road, Steinbach Dodge has some important news and tips to share. When asked about the temperature change, Robert Dueck notes 'It means that we’re going to get busy. We know that in spring people are ready to buy cars. The weather is beautiful, the sun is shining, it's warming up and that creates car fever. That's a good fever. We love that.'

When asked if COVID has had an impact on vehicle sales, Dueck replies 'if you drive by the lot, you'll notice that it's not nearly as full as it normally is. Inventory’s always a problem this time of year. With what happened with COVID, there are lots of parts that are not available, so the manufacturers are having a really difficult time getting enough vehicles for the dealers. It doesn't matter what brand it is, we're all having struggles getting inventory, but we worked really hard to make sure that our lot still has vehicles available. If you have a special need, we can pull from our dealer pool, so we will do our best to fill everybody's wants and needs this season.

Dueck also had an interesting observation on seasonal sales, noting 'Obviously in wintertime, we sell a lot more SUVs and four-wheel drives. Springtime is more cars and minivans. People are getting ready for vacations. So, we sell a lot of vans this time of year, but we still sell trucks. This whole area of Manitoba is known for truck sales, so we are a big truck store. Dueck continues 'we’re getting trucks in every day. Trucks and SUVs, they keep rolling in and almost as fast as we can unload them, they’re selling back off the lot again. So, if you want something please come in and let us know and we’ll look after you.'

Dueck details why the Dodge Grand Caravan has been so popular for so many years. 'Families, families, families, people going on vacation, if you have kids in sports. They’re so versatile; you can put all the seats down to get foldaway seating into the floor so you can actually haul a full four by eight sheet of plywood in the back of these things. You can use it like a truck, you can use it to haul kids, you can use it to haul their sports equipment, they're just so versatile. We have young families that want them because of that, and we also have older people that want them because they're easy to get in and out if they're not so low to climb into. So, they're popular for all age groups.'

There’s change on the horizon for the beloved Grand Caravan though. Dueck is excited to announce that 'next year they will be coming out with a Chrysler Grand Caravan instead of a Dodge Grand Caravan. But the price point will be significantly higher, so if you're looking for a caravan, get one while they're still available for this model because they're going away, and going away fast.' That also creates an advantage for today’s buyers as Dueck adds 'there are unbelievable deals going on right now. The interest rates are really better, terms are amazing. We still have a really good stock of Dodge Grand Caravans. I think we have like 35 or 40 units left in the yard. A lot of dealers have almost nothing left.'
