It will soon be easier for people in La Broquerie to get health information.  A new health centre is opening in the community this fall which will provide  information and be staffed by a nurse who will be able to diagnose minor medical problems.  Spokesperson Aime Gauthier says the RM was approached to provide space in the old municipal office building.  The request was granted.
He notes there is a need in small communities for this type of service, especially among people who are unable to drive to larger centres.  Reeve Ken Mantie says it's a good fit to have the health centre and Regional Health Authority offices in the same building.  The centre should be up and running by September.
