Plans for a new personal care home in the southeast have hit a bit of a bump in the road.  The Menno Home board in Grunthal has been waiting to hear from the RM of Hanover whether it will be donating any money towards the new facility.  It asked for $600,000.00.  Hanover council has decided to give them a grant of $400,000.00.  Board member Albert Driedger is grateful for the money but disappointed that it was not as much as they had requested.
They are determined to go ahead with this project.  However Driedger says they'll have to work harder to get the balance of that money.  Now that Hanover has made its decision the Menno Home board will be approaching other municipalities for a grant.
