Less than two weeks after the traffic signals along Highway 52 at Industrial Road were activated, the same has now happened on the north end of Steinbach.

A new intersection was built last year near Trucks Unlimited along Highway 12, north of Clearsprings Road. And, though the light standards were in place, they had been kept covered.

Then on Thursday of this week, Manitoba Infrastructure activated those lights at North Gate Drive and had them flashing amber. And as of Friday, they are fully operational.

The intersection was built by a private contractor and is being paid for jointly by Manitoba Infrastructure and Steinbach Land Holdings which is building a business park on the west side of the highway.
