On Tuesday, Niverville's Jordan St. Cyr released a brand-new music video for his hit single "Fires" which is featured below.

As we reported back in June, "Fires" hit the ground running and debuted at Number 47 on the Billboard Alliance NCA chart just a few weeks after it was released.

St. Cyr says the song is all about clinging onto the promises found in scripture during the tough times in life. He notes ever since he released "Fires" people have been sharing their stories with him.

"If you go on my Youtube channel and you go to the lyric video and you just read through some of the stories that people are sharing, these are heavy heavy stories, they are defining moments in people's lives, these are moments where they have lost loved ones, they have seen tragedy and all of them are claiming faith in God to be what carried them through. I am just so honoured to be a part of that thread in all of these stories."

Listen to the whole conversation with Jordan St. Cyr:

For St. Cyr, it was important to show the difficulties that others have gone through so they could also see God's care on display. That is why the music video for "Fires" features real people.

"These are like three or four real stories in this video, people are going through these things or have gone through these things. Nobody is immune to going through stuff and it can hurt a lot but it is amazing what can come out of those places."

The music video even features St. Cyr's own family trials. His daughter Emery was born with a brain disease. The song, written well before her birth, has become an anthem for the family that they cling to in the midst of uncertainty. With that in mind, he says he has a hard time watching his own video.

"I think I have been able to watch this video twice without crying and I am not a crier, and I know it's coming. But when I think about my little, girl, when I think about my wife, when I think about my little kid and the story that we get to share with this world and be a part of that, it is humbling."
