It would appear any safety improvements for the Highway 12 and Provincial Road 210 intersection, are still at least half a year away.

On September 24th of last year, Manitoba Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler announced improvements would be forthcoming. That intersection near Ste. Anne has been a popular one for crashes over the years.

m/h for the eastbound direction on PR 210, 'stop ahead' sign for the westbound direction on PR 210 and refreshed and enhanced stop lines.

One year later, Manitoba Infrastructure has provided an update. It says an In-Service Safety Review of that intersection will be conducted. The review will be tendered over the next couple of weeks. Then, once the contract is awarded, the review is expected to take approximately six months to complete. It is anticipated that the review will provide short-term recommendations to improve safety at the transition area.

Manitoba Infrastructure says their main priority is safety on provincial roads and the department methodically examines where improvements can be made in terms of road configurations, access design, commercial and private driver license training, enforcement, and other factors that can move it closer to this goal.
